Leonardo DiCaprio is definitely one of the most well-known celebrity vapers to have successfully ditched the cigarettes.
But every year, more and more famous folk jump on board and embrace the tobacco alternative.
Back in his smoker days, DiCaprio insisted on keeping his habit a secret from his mother, Irmelin Indenbirken.
Photographer Steve Eichner met the then 20-year-old star who was joined by Johnny Depp at Club USA in New York in 1994.
Eichner said:
“[Leo] came over and tapped me on the shoulder and said, ‘Hey man, can you do me a favour and please don’t use that photo? You can take photos of me tonight.’ ”
When asked why, DiCaprio said:
“I was buying cigarettes, and I don’t want my mom to know that I smoke.”
DiCaprio was pictured at the 2016 Oscars vaping during the awards.
It seems that the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star was something of a trendsetter.
Robert Pattinson
DiCaprio reportedly helped convince Robert Pattinson to give up e-cigarettes in 2012 after he had struggled to quit smoking.
Tom Hardy
Hardy has been captured vaping in a number of interviews, including 2015’s The Revenant.
Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp switched from smoking to vaping and in 2010, appeared in The Tourist – one of the first films to feature an e-cigarette.
Katy Perry
Katy Perry has been snapped using a vape at numerous events including her Labor Day party.
Tom Walker
Singer Tom Walker was pictured earlier this year on his way to the BBC studios with a vape in hand.
Bruno Mars
Singer Bruno Mars has been spotted vaping after promising his mother that he would quit smoking. He has since become an enthusiastic vaper investing in an e-cigarette brand.
Cara Delevingne
Supermodel Cara Delevingne was famously pictured vaping with former girlfriend, Michelle Rodriguez at a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.
Kylie Jenner
Kylie Jenner has also been seen vaping on her Snapchat in some now-deleted snaps.
Sophie Turner
Turner’s vaping habit was revealed in May 2019 when the actor shared a photo taken during the filming of the final series of Game of Thrones.
