Geekvape Wenax Q Pro Review

ADVERTISMENT: Flonq AD

Since day one, Geekvape has rapidly amassed a cult like following in the vape world due to their consistent reliability and solid craftsmanship.

Producing a truly massive amount of high quality devices, Geekvape caters for all levels of vapers.

Today I’m going to be picking apart the very latest in the Wenax line of products, produced by the vaping legends themselves, the Wenax Q Pro pod kit.

Wenax Q Pro specifications

  • Maximum Output Power: 30W
  • Battery Capacity: 1200mAh
  • Weight: 64.66g
  • Charging: USB C
  • Pod capacity: 2ml
  • Adjustable Airflow
  • Auto Draw & Button Activation
  • 0.96” Smart Screen
  • Haptic Touch

Familiar in shape and size, the Wenax Q Pro demonstrates both functionality and portability in one fell swoop, retaining a surprisingly hefty weight to it that I feel accentuates the premium construction that Geekvape is known for.

This pod system comes in multiple colours, that are neither garish nor overly intense, but varies enough to satisfy any vaper’s preferences.

Featuring a bright, bold and inexplicably crisp 0.96” screen, you can expect to see any relevant information regarding your vaping experience, including a puff counter, wattage, coil resistance and battery percentage.

Battery life and power capacity

On the subject of batteries, the Wenax Q Pro packs a real punch – don’t let this unassuming exterior fool you!

1200mAh is enough to last the average vaper a full day of usage, and then some! I have been vaping at 25W consistently and find a full charge sufficient for the day.

If, however, the battery does drop down to zero, it will power up incredibly quickly via USB C (I’m finding it takes around 30 minutes or so).

Capable of vaping up to a whopping 30W, the Wenax Q Pro truly delivers an intense and flavourful experience in every single puff.

What pods can you use with the Wenax Q Pro?

The Wenax Q Pro is compatible with all Geekvape Q series pods, so you really can tailor your experience to suit your exact preferences.

I found that the 0.6ohm pod offered the perfect balance between flavour and throat hit intensity, delivering a satisfying RDL (restricted direct to lung) inhale.

There is also a spare 0.8ohm pod in the kit or you can purchase 1.2ohm Q pod.

The line of compatible pods feature built in coils, eradicating the need for fiddly coil changes and potential leakages (of which I had absolutely no issues).

They are incredibly easy to see through, so you know exactly how much e-liquid to add, meaning I never over (or under) filled the pods.

How long do the Q pods last?

I found pods lasted me approximately a week to ten days of moderate usage, although this can vary from person to person.

Simply dispose of the pod once the coil burns out and replace with a new one.

Airflow control

With a super straightforward airflow control switch, vapers are able to modify the type of inhale to suit their needs.

I tend to keep the airflow wide open as this provides a relatively loose draw.

Key features and design

Sturdiness and resilience are at the heart of this device, and the rubberised base made sure that any drops had no effect on the robust construction of this kit.

The Wenax Q Pro showcases a haptic touch screen, eliminating the need for standard buttons, rather relying on a truly responsive and clear method of adjustment.

The 0.96″ smart screen displays key information such as battery percentage level, pod resistance, puff count, mode, device lock state and wattage output.

The Wenax Q Pro has two modes, smart mode and power mode (there is also a separate menu option that allows you to enter eco mode to reduce power consumption).

In smart mode the device automatically detects the coil resistance of an inserted pod and sets itself to a recommended wattage, making it easier for those who know little about wattage and pod resistance to choose the right settings.

Whereas in power mode it allows you to choose any value, providing full customisation and control over the output of the device.

How much does the Wenax Q Pro cost?

The price point on this device is extremely competitive for what you get (approximately £20-£26 depending on where you purchase it) and in my eyes it is worth every single penny.

Overall thoughts on the Wenax Q Pro

I felt that the Wenax Q Pro offers a careful balance between simplicity and performance and therefore will appeal to new and seasoned vapers simultaneously.

I loved having the opportunity to review this kit, and I think Geekvape has got something really special here, and I’m sure many of you will feel the same way.

Pros

  • Competitive pricing
  • Impressive battery life
  • Stylish
  • Full on flavour production

Cons

  • I found that the pod sometimes rattled a little bit, but this was rectified when I changed to a new pod.
