In this edition, we’re looking at the Vaporesso FORZ TX80, The Geekvape Aegis Hero and the SXK Supbox.
Vaporesso FORZ TX80 – A New Aegis Competitor?

Vaporesso unveiled their FORZ TX80 this week and it’s clearly taking aim at the success of the Aegis line.
Like The Aegis devices, the Vaporesso FORZ TX80 is waterproof and shock-resistant, with a fully sealed and rubberised chassis.
The mod is relatively compact considering its life-proof specs and is also host to the brand new AXON chip 2.0, the first chip we’ve seen to include an F(t) output mode, which claims to grant the user greater control of temperature output.
Along with the device, Vaporesso are also launching a new subohm tank, the FORZ Tank 25.
Vaporesso FORZ Tank 25 Specs:
Dimensions: 56mm*30mm (8ml version, diameter measured at widest point) / 47.5mm*22mm (TPD edition)
E-liquid capacity: 4.5ml (standard) / 2ml (TPD)
The FORZ Tank 25 is an interesting prospect. For starters, it will be the first atomiser to use Vaporesso’s new GTR coil fitting.
These look to be slightly larger than previous GTX coils, which should open up more options for coil design in the future. At the time of writing, they will be available in 0.4Ohm and 0.15Ohm varieties, which should cover restricted DL and open DL vaping styles respectively.
In addition to the new coil fitting, it seems TPD and non-TPD regions will be getting totally different tanks. The TPD edition has a smaller 22mm diameter, with a 2ml capacity. Non-TPD regions will receive a 25mm base diameter tank, with 4.5ml capacity as standard and a 30mm bubble glass with a whopping 8ml capacity.
All in all, the Vaporesso FORZ TX80 looks to be a very interesting kit. If their track record for build quality, chipsets and coil heads is anything to go by, this will be a strong competitor to the Aegis Solo, Aegis Max and Aegis Mini from Geekvape.
Geekvape Aegis Hero – Is There Room in the Line-Up?

Geekvape revealed the newest addition to the Aegis line-up this week. The Aegis Hero features the same waterproof and shock resistant design found in other Aegis devices and is compatible with all previous Aegis Boost coils.
The form factor is a bit of a departure from the rest of the line, though and it’s the smallest device yet to utilize Boost coils.
The Aegis Hero is somewhat confusing in terms of where it fits in to Geekvape’s current product stack. It seems to fill the same role as the Aegis Boost, trading battery capacity for a slightly more compact footprint.
Whether or not this is a totally new idea is likely irrelevant, though, since compact AIO systems continue to be the market mover of 2020. Geekvape has posted a short video demonstration of the Aegis Hero on Youtube.
SXK Supbox – Three Devices in One?

It’s fair to say that SXK is a controversial name in the world of vaping. They’re best known for producing clones but in recent times, they’ve been transitioning to the creation of original devices.
The Supbox is an interesting concept that should appeal to utilitarian vapers. It’s supplied with an RPM compatible AIO tank as standard, along with Boro tank and 510 adapters.
The 510 adapter, allows you to use any atomiser up to 24mm diameter with the device, essentially converting the Supbox into a standard side-by-side mod.
The Boro tank adapter allows you to use virtually any Billet Box atomiser, which should come in handy for anyone with a big collection of Boro tanks.
Along with the minimal design and relatively compact form factor, the result is an extremely versatile device that caters to a wide range of use cases. There’s also an 18350 battery tube included with the mod, allowing you to convert it to an even more compact AIO package.
